The 102 year old listed Midland Hotel building is one of Manchester's most distinctive and distinguished landmarks.
Through client Ramparts Interior Contracts, Ornate Interiors work included the reinstatement of the ornate
cornicing in a number of the hotel rooms, function rooms and lobby area. A number of plaster lighting troughs were
also repaired as were the cornices and centrepieces.
The Midland Hotel boasts a proud history including being
the venue for a historic meeting between Charles Rolls and Henry Royce which led to the formation of Rolls Royce Limited.
The elegant venue also features two restaurants and 11 function rooms.
Some of the smaller more intricate works on
the moulding's enrichments were carried out by hand and insitu as opposed to manufacturing large piece fibrous mouldings
off site.
