Work was carried out by Ornate Interiors on a former congregational church in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire which was
featured on BBC2's "Restoration" programme.
The structure was built around 1860 and purchased in a
derelict state by the restaurant's owner Mr Tibassum.
There was extensive damage to the plasterwork due to
water ingress and general years of neglect. Movement in the joists had also caused them to bow altering the original
shape of the building.
New mouldings were reproduced by taking sections of the existing cornice and casting
them in the workshop. They were fitted sympathetically by following the new contours of the building to give it a
more authentic feel.
